The Westminster Presbyterian Church in Akron was the site of the spring wedding of Jenna Michelle Lance and Jermaine Andre Reid.

Minister Derek Redwine officiated at the couple's double-ring ceremony at 4:30 p.m. May 10.

The bride is the daughter of Bob and Deb Lance, 33120 Winona Road, Salem. The bridegroom is the son of Lawrence Reid of Pickering, Ontario, Canada, and the late Veronica Reid.

Nuptial music was provided by James Mismas at the organ with Susan Wallin as vocalist.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She appeared in a strapless, ivory luxe satin gown accented with beaded lace and a semi-cathedral train which continued up to the dropped waistline. Her ivory, two-tier tulle veil was trimmed in ivory satin and attatched to a pearl and crystal headband. She also wore her Grandmother Hays' pearls and carried a lace handkerchief that belonged to her Grandmother Lance. The bride carried a bouquet of orange lilies, white stephanotis and orchids with ivory roses.

Susan Mandl of Rowlett, Texas, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Kelly Stingel of Fort Collins, Colo., Mary Lance of Lakemore, the bride's sister-in-law; and Mandy Clapsaddle of Clayton, N.C.

Sheldon Reid of Pickering, Ontario, the bridegroom's brother, was the best man.

Ushers were Chris Brown of Columbus, Chad Lance of Lakemore, the bride's brother; and Jabari Arthur of Montreal, Quebec.

Approximately 220 guests attended the reception at Guy's Party Center in Akron. Hannah and Sarah Jarvis, the bride's cousins, presided at the guest book. Special guests included Paul and Janet Hays and Leonard Lance, the bride's grandparents.

The bride graduated from United High School and the University of Akron. She is employed as the global finance coordinator for Diebold in Canton.

The bridegroom graduated from St. Mary's High School in Toronto, Calif., and plans to graduate in 2009 from the University of Akron. He plays professional football for the Hamilton Tigercats of the CFL.

Following their honeymoon to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a Southern Caribbean cruise, the couple resides in Green.
