Mr. and Mrs. William (Margaret) Gotschall of 2508 Lisbon St., East Liverpool, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on July 27 with a private family dinner.
The former Margaret Hess, daughter of Keith and Marguerite Hess of Salem, became the bride of William Gotschall, the son of George and Betty Gotschall of East Liverpool, on July 27, 1963, in East Liverpool.
The couple has four children, Troy (Lori) Gotschall of Land O' Lakes, Fla.; Dawn (Michael) Moore and Michele (Ian) Strange of Leetonia; and Robin (Craig) Boyle of North Canton. They also have eight grandchildren.
Mr. Gotschall was employed by Crucible Steel for 18 years and later served as Columbiana County Commissioner and as an economic development director for the state of Ohio. He also owned the Tool Chest in Columbiana.
Mrs. Gotschall served as an English teacher at East Liverpool High School for 30 years.
In addition to a family celebration, the couple will enjoy a Caribbean cruise in January.
