Mr. and Mrs. James Means will celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. James Means, 1525 N. Lincoln Ave., Salem, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 25. They plan to celebrate with a trip to St. Catharine's, Ontario, Canada.

The former Martha Jane McCauley became the bride of Mr. Means on Aug. 25, 1958. The Rev. Clark Allison performed the ceremony in Wellsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Means were born in the Wellsville area. He retired from General Motors/UAW in Lordstown and is a Guilford Lake Ruritan member and advisor for the Ruri-Teen Club at United High School. Mrs. Means enjoys bowling and is on a league at Hunt Club Lanes in Salem.

They both enjoy square dancing and are members of the Salem Square Wheels.

The couple has three children, Scott of Lisbon, Brent of East Palestine and Daniel of Salem.
