Kara Zepernick became the bride of Benjamin Sturgeon on July 19 at the Salem Saxon Club. Pastor William Lawson officiated at the couple's double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Colleen Zepernick of Salem. The bridegroom's parents are Homer Sturgeon and Kathy and Dick Fawcett of Salem.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She chose a white Oleg Cassini strapless beaded metallic embroidered gown with a satin pick-up skirt and sash with a chapel train. The white two-tiered veil was beaded with metallic embroidery and complimented with a silver crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of 18 white roses with turquoise gemstones wrapped in black and white satin ribbon.
Angel Oglesbee of Salem was the maid of honor.
Amanda Zerbs of Salem was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included Kari Kyser, Jesse Scyoc, Casey LaHa and Heather VanFossen.
Lance Newburn of Alliance served as best man.
Groomsmen included Doug Sturgeon, Matt Berger, Cody Pierson, Scott Merriman and Ryan Hiscox.
Approximately 250 guests attended the reception at the Saxon Club.
Following a honeymoon to Daytona Beach, Fla., the couple is residing in Salem.
