Woman charged with welfare fraud
Special to the Salem NewsLISBON - A Wellsville woman was served with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County grand jury charging her with two different types of welfare fraud.
Cheryl A. Wright, 27, of Main Street, is charged with theft of more than $5,000 in Food Stamps benefits between January 2003 and April 2008. Wright also is accused of fraudulently collecting more than $5,000 in Medicaid benefits during the same period.
