BANGOR, Pa.-Jeffrey L. Kryk, 53, of 450 Mack Road, Bangor, Pa., formerly of Salem, died at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., following complications of surgery.

He was born June 29, 1955, in Salem, Ohio, the son of Helen (Reno) Kryk and the late John S. Kryk.

Jeff had been employed with CH2MHill, a global engineering firm, for three years in their Somerset, N.J., office. He had previously been employed at Foster Wheeler and Kvaerner and had worked throughout the eastern United States.

Jeff was a Salem native and graduated from Salem High School where he was a member of the football team. He had been a Boy Scout, an avid golfer and enjoyed collectible cars and car racing. Jeff was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in engineering.

Survivors include his mother, Helen Kryk of Cary, N.C.; a sister, Vicki Kryk and brother-in-law, Scott Bryant of Cary, N.C.; and an uncle, Bruce Reno of El Paso, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Smearsoll officiating.

Calling hours will be held at the church one hour prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem High School Alumni Association, 330 East State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460; or the Northeast Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 26210 Emery Road, Suite 307, Cleveland, Ohio 44128.
