Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gruszecki, 502 Valley Road, Salem, will be honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. An open house reception will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. June 21 at St. Ann's Parish Hall. The event will be hosted by their children, Richard (Dayle) Gruszecki of Beloit, Randal (Helen) Gruszecki, Robin Gruszecki and Rhonda Lamancusa, all of Damascus. Also joining in the festivities will be their 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A 50th anniversary celebratory Mass in their honor is also planned at 5:30 p.m. June 20 at St. Ann's Church where they are members.
The former Beverly Kay Heestand and Mr. Gruszecki were married on June 20, 1959, at St. Ann's in Sebring. Father J. Ferris Petros officiated.
Mr. Gruszecki retired June 30, 2003, after 35 years with the Hoover Company in North Canton. He is a 36-year member of United Commercial Travelers, a member of Polish National Alliance of Akron, and past president of the Ohio Fraternal Congress.
Mrs. Gruszecki is a homemaker. She enjoys sewing, baking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
