LISBON - In county Municipal Court on Tuesday, a Salem man was bound over to grand jury on a felony charge of domestic violence. Bond was set at $25,000 for James Coleman, 49, Elberon Avenue, on the charge.
Phillip Whinnery, 22, Prospect Street, Salem, was sentenced to 175 days in the county jail and was fined $300 for theft, obstructing official business and criminal trespassing; review hearing July 30. Whinnery took a backpack and its contents belonging to someone else from inside a vehicle and ran from police for about an hour.
Robert Halfhill Jr., 27, Darlington, Pa., pleaded not guilty to three county of criminal trespassing. Bond was set at $5,000; pretrial June 23.
Donald Duncan, 27, New Middletown, pleaded not guilty to OVI second offense and speeding; pretrial July 20.
Caleb Bowser, 28, Enon Valley, Pa., pleaded not guilty to OVI second offense and marked lanes; pretrial July 21.
Ronald McKay, 47, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, pleaded not guilty to OVI second offense and lane violations; pretrial Aug. 4.
Sentencing was scheduled for July 13 for Nicole Kiehl, 21, Neeld Road, East Palestine, for OVI first offense and speeding.
Nathan Berresford, 22, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense; pretrial July 28.
Sentencing was scheduled for June 23 for Michael Farmer, 41, Lexington Avenue, Salem, for domestic violence. Farmer threatened his live-in girlfriend with a machete or knife while he was intoxicated.
Charles Green, 22, South Cross Street, Columbiana, was sentenced to nine days in the county jail and fined $500 for reckless operation, failure to comply, obstructing official business and speeding. Charges of resisting arrest and traffic control devices against Green were dismissed.
Ryan Garretson, 18, Caldwell Avenue, Lisbon, pleaded not guilty to theft; pretrial July 27. Garretson stole an Apple iPod from a cousin and traded it to someone for a bike.
Theresa Burgess, 43, state Route 644, Summitville, was fined $280 and had her driver's license suspended for six months for reckless operation, amended from OVI first offense; a seat belt violation and failure to control.
Bobby Claypool, 40, state Route 164, Lisbon, was fined $150 for passing bad checks.
William Hively Jr., 38, Woodland Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for persistent disorderly conduct.
Linda Childrey, 56, Mantua, pleaded not guilty to failure to reinstate license; pretrial July 16.
Karen Klempay, 45, Canfield, was fined $50 for stopped school bus.
Karen Hubert, 49, Canfield, was fined $30 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding.
A court trial was scheduled for June 29 for Zachary Heath, 18, Farrington Avenue, Leetonia, for speeding.
Alicia Palmiere, 23, Alliance, was fined $10 for traffic control devices.
