COLUMBIANA - Katherine (Moser) Hetherington, 93, of Salem and formerly Columbiana died Saturday in Essex II Nursing Home of Salem.

She was born Feb. 23, 1916 in Canton to Charles and Roxie (Harsh) Moser. She was a bookkeeper for Spathold's Hardware in Leetonia. She graduated from Minerva High School and is a member of the Columbiana Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Hetherington was preceded by her husband of 72 years, Richard Hetherington who died in 2006; a son, Richard Hetherington; and two brothers, Roger and Dwight Moser.

She is survived by daughter, Sue Oberholtzer of Columbiana; three sons, Robert (Sondra) Hetherington of Minerva, Roger (Syl) Hetherington of Culpeper, VA, and William (Linda) Hetherington of Baraboo, Wis.; two sisters, Betty Kauffman of Tiffin, and Verne (Richard) Fisher of Ft. Myers, FL; a brother, Don (Pat) Moser of Arkansas, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandson

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held for Richard and Katherine Hetherington at Bethlehem Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11 with Mr. Ralph Norman of the Minerva First Christian Church and Mr. Clarence Mansfield of the Columbiana First Christian Church officiating.

Arrangements by the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva or Columbiana First Christian Churches. A special tribute to the employees of Essex II of Salem for the special care of Richard and Katherine.
