'Fun Bazaar' planned today

BELOIT- A "Fun Bazaar" is planned from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Bunker Hill Methodist Church. Activities include games, basketball, horseshoes and cornhole. A fun auction starts at 6 p.m. The church is located at 15096 Middletown Road. For information call 330-337-9440.

Vacation Bible school

FRANKLIN SQUARE-The Franklin Square United Methodist Church Womens Circle is sponsoring vacation Bible school from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at the church, 37615 Olde State Route 558. Classes for ages 2 to 14 will include lunch, snacks, games and a picnic for the whole family at 4:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Missionary to speak

SALEM-Jason Harsh, the former Pastor of East Goshen Friends Church and a new missionary to India, will be speaking on July 26 at the Salem Southeast Evangelical Friends Church at 1300 Franklin Ave. Harsh will be sharing his vision for India at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services. Guest pastor in Columbiana

COLUMBIANA-The First Presbyterian Church at 28 E. Park Ave. will welcome Dave Perkins as the guest pastor for the next four Sundays: July 19 and 26 and Aug. 2 and 9.

Fun fest and hog roast

SALEM-The second annual "Free Family Fun Fest and Hog Roast" will be held Aug. 1 at Real Life Church. The fun fest runs from 1 to 5 p.m. and includes free games, activities and food. There will also be free school supplies for the first 100 children. The hog roast begins at 5 p.m. The community is welcome. Shepherd's Home speaker

SALEM-Mike McLaughlin, a representative from Shepherd's Home, will be the guest speaker on Sunday at the Calvary Baptist Church. Shepherd's is a home for disabled people in Union Grove, Wisc. They have a bell ringing group and mens singing group that travels to churches.

Outdoor Youth Challenge

SALEM-The First Christian Church will host its sixth annual Outdoor Youth Challenge at 11 a.m. July 25 at 32725 Coffee School Road. The theme is "24/6: The other six days." The Challenge is open to teens entering seventh grade through 2009 high school graduates. The Outdoor Youth Challenge is a day of events where teens compete against other teams in survivor-like challenges.
