CARROLLTON, Ga.-Caroline Dorothy Eisert Gilchrist, 89, of Cedar St., formerly of Columbiana, died July 7.

Born Jan. 19, 1922, in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late David Eisert and Dora Borgel Eisert.

Mrs. Gilchrist was a secretary for Ballonoff Home Products, retiring in 1982. She attended Grace Lutheran Church and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Columbiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oliver Gilchrist.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Loretta Ammons of Carrollton; a daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Dr. Mark Evans of Columbiana; a stepson, David (Pam) Gilchrist of Canonsburg, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Sharon (William) Snedecker of Canonsburg, Pa.; a brother, Freeland Eisert of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel in Columbiana with Pastor David Conrad officiating.
