POLICE REPORT
Perry Township reports
Littering
Police responded to the 900 block of Andrew Ave. at 10:54 p.m. Tuesday where the complainant advised a glass bottle was thrown onto his driveway. After a brief investigation, police cited Nicholas J. Reckner, 1402 Georgetown Road, for littering from a motor vehicle.
At 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1000 block of Stewart Road where the complainant advised a family member stole over 100 Advan pills which the complainant had a prescription for. Police contacted a family member who denied it.
Suspicious person
Police in the 1800 block of S. Lincoln Ave. observed a male exit a pickup and walk to the rear of the Circle K store on the northwest side and ascertained he was urinating in the lot. The subject fled westbound over a fence behind the Dairy King where an officer lost sight of him. Police made contact with the driver of the truck the person was observed exiting and he was identified as Brent Bergman of Hanoverton and was under 21 and had been drinking and was arrested for underage consumption. He identified his passenger as Devin Bezeredi of Hanoverton. Police were unable to locate him and cleared the scene. Bergman was taken to the county jail. Police received a call from Bezeredi at 3:13 a.m. advising he wanted to turn himself in and he was cited for disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and underage consumption and taken to the county jail.
Juvenile complaint
Police responded to the 800 block of Georgetown Road at 6:48 p.m. Monday where the complainant observed to juveniles fishing on his lake. Police located the two on Elberon Ave. and advised them they weren't permitted on the complainant's property.
Salem Township reports
Theft
Salem Township Police Chief Dan Valentine received a report at 8:39 a.m. Tuesday from the treasurer of the Leetonia Little Bears football team who said she made up a deposit for the team and when she went to get it the next day to deposit it, she discovered it was gone. The matter is under investigation.

Criminal damage
Police responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Ave. at 11:33 a.m. Tuesday for a report of criminal damage and found the complainant's van a broken right side window and a herbicide pump was damaged as well as part of the panel under the ignition panel.
Assist other agency
Police responded to the 600 block of Woodland Ave. at 11 a.m. Tuesday where officers were requested to assist the humane officer regarding an uncared for dog. Police remained while the owner signed the animal over to the humane officer.
Criminal damage
Police responded to the 400 block of Columbia St. at 3:34 a.m. Wednesday where the complainant heard a loud crash outside and observed a male running southbound through Hogan's Alley. Police found a broken window at 342 S. Broadway Ave. The building was unoccupied and police were unsure of the property owner.
Shoplifters
Police responded to the 2800 block of E. State St. at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday where security had detained an adult male and a juvenile relative. Information was obtained and they were placed under arrest for theft/delinquency. Curtis L. Kidd, 12803 Smith Goshen Road, was taken to the county jail and the juvenile was released to his father.
Police responded to the 2400 block of E. State St. where a shoplifter as detained by employees and the business chose to handle the matter internally, however they requested a positive identification. Police identified the person an issued a trespass notice to prevent the person from legally returning to the business.
Barking dog
Police responded to the 400 block of W. 4th St. at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday where dogs were reportedly barking excessively. Police listened for approximately 10 minutes and didn't hear anything and spoke with the complainant and learned the dogs had been taken inside prior to police arriving. Officers spoke with a resident in the 400 block of W. 4th St. who advised that a person has been antagonizing the dog causing it to bark.
Intoxicated driver report
Police responded to the 400 block of S. Lundy Ave. after receiving a report from the sheriff's unit of an intoxicated drive at 8:04 p.m. but were unable to locate it.
Theft
Police responded to the 1700 block of E. 3rd St. at 8:22 p.m. where the complainant advised someone stole a sign from his front yard.
Juvenile complaint
Police responded to the 500 block of N. Ellsworth Ave. at 8:44 p.m. Tuesday where a parent advised of having problems with her 16-year-old son. The juvenile left their vehicle earlier and his whereabouts unknown, but he returned later and police spoke to him about laws regarding unruliness.
