COLUMBIANA-General Motors continues to recognize superior performance and takes pride in rewarding dealerships for their accomplishments. Eric Fenner, General Motors District Sales Manager, visited Columbiana last week to present the GM Mark of Excellence Recognition Award to Columbiana Buick Cadillac Chevrolet. General Manager Rick Sandoval accepted the award on behalf of the dealership and owner David A. Flynn.

The Mark of Excellence Award is an accomplishment reserved for only a select few outstanding GM dealerships for achieving superior sales volume, and for exceptional dedication to customer service and satisfaction.

During the award ceremony Fenner said, "We applaud the effort shown by the staff and management of the dealership. Mark of Excellence recipients represent the best in the business because they must be top performers in all areas of dealership operations."

Rick Sandoval explained, "Much of our success has to do with the staff's expertise. Our office manager, sales and service departments recognize the benefits of GM certified training programs and complete certified courses each year. Our employees are knowledgeable; they earn the trust and confidence of our customers every day by providing the best possible service."

The general manager added that the information age has also had an impact on the dealership's success. Consumers have learned to take advantage of the wealth of information available on the internet. The dealership's website, www.drivecolumbiana.com. is a no-cost resource for customers who want to access information on the dealership's new vehicle line-up, used inventory and parts and service departments.

Columbiana Buick Cadillac Chevrolet's Service department has won numerous awards for excellence in service and offers a courtesy shuttle service, and after hour drop-off.

The parts department has continued to expand with the growth of the company and today manages a complex inventory of mechanical and collision parts for GM vehicles.

A state-of-the-art body shop offers automotive collision repair on most makes and models and works with insurance companies to insure proper repairs.

Columbiana Buick Cadillac Chevrolet is located on South Main Street in Columbiana and was purchased by Flynn in 1974. The addition of multiple franchises brought about the expansion of the showroom and offices, as well as the dealership's inventory lots and parking areas. It remains a cornerstone of the community, operating at the original location where it opened its doors as Columbiana Buick in 1911.

The dealership was the first among six Flynn dealerships located in Columbiana and Mahoning counties. Others include: The Honda Store and Donnell Ford in Boardman; Donnell Ford Lincoln Mercury of Salem; Power Pontiac GMC Buick Chevrolet in Calcutta; and Performance GMC in New Waterford.
