Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Ray) Smith of Adams Avenue celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 17.
The former Janet Manypenny and Mr. Smith were married on Oct. 17, 1959, at the Bunker Hill Methodist Church by the Rev. Fotia.
Mr. Smith is a former restauranteur and works part time for the Morning Journal.
Mrs. Smith is retired from Blackhawk Plastics.
The Smiths are active members of the First United Methodist Church of Salem.
The couple has a daughter Linda (Roy) Johnson of Damascus, a son, Larry (Elaine) Smith of Ocala, Fla., four grandsons, and three granddaughters.
