Leland A. Raley
LISBON - Leland A. Raley, 89, of 45470 SR 154, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Mr. Raley was born Aug. 28, 1920 in Salem, a son of the late Arthur and Zora Ward Raley, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He had owned and operated the family farm for a number of years, and had been employed with the former Franklin Furniture, Columbiana for 20 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine.
His wife, the former Cora E. Gumbel, whom he married Aug. 9, 1940, preceded him in death on Nov. 22, 2004.
Mr. Raley is survived by two sons, Richard L. Raley of Salem and James A. (Debbie) Raley of New Waterford; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Clarence Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
