Ashley Elizabeth Martig and Steven Charles Moore were united in marriage during a 4 p.m. ceremony on June 20. The bride is the daughter of Earl and Connie Martig of Beloit. The bridegroom is the son of Charles and Nina Moore of Damascus.
The bride, escorted by her father, arrived at the church in a white horse-drawn carriage. She wore a strapless mermaid-style gown with a sweetheart neckline and pleated hem. The gown was completely embellished with rhinestones, silver sequins and beads. Her fingertip-length veil was edged with crystals and silver beads. She carried a hand-tied bouquet with an assortment of fresh peonies, star-gazer lilies, roses and green berries with pleated ribbons.
Matron of honor was Kimberly Spencer and maid of honor was Shannon Martig, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Carnivale; Jen Martig, the bride's sister-in-law; Kristin Ludt; Desiree Iden, the bride's cousin; Angela Goshorn; and Autumn Bates. They wore petal-pink tea-length organza dresses with a semi-sweetheart neckline, lettuce sash and pleated bottom trim. They carried hand-tied bouquets of fresh peonies, roses and green berries with pleated ribbons.
Kirstin Smith, the bridegroom's cousin, was the flower girl. Colin Moore, the bridegroom's nephew, was the ringbearer.
Serving as best man was Matt McGary. Groomsmen were Nat Fergason; Ryan Martig and Brad Martig, the bride's brothers; Joe Schertzer, the bridegroom's cousin; Jeremy Moore, the bridegroom's brother; and Matt Leech. The junior groomsman was Kyle Moore, the bridegroom's nephew. Alyssa Martig presided at the guest book.
Approximately 235 guests attended the reception at The Quarry Golf Club.
The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The bride earned an MBA from Youngstown State University. She is employed by the IRS as a revenue agent for the LMSB Division.
The bridegroom received a BSBA degree in advertising from YSU. He is employed as an account manager at General Commercial Corporation.
The couple resides in Alliance.
