REYNOLDSBURG - Robert William Cowie, Jr., age 44, of Reynoldsburg, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009. He graduated from Salem Senior High School, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1983-1991, and was employed by Henkels-McCoy. He is preceded in death by his father Robert W. Cowie, Sr. He is survived by daughters Stephanie, Sophia, Jolie, and Faith Cowie; step-children Erin (Jeremiah) Spires, Adam, Emmalee, and Dillon Sells; grandson Aidan Spires; mother and step-father Elaine and Denis Davin; siblings Kathy Bets, Sue (Richard) Ross, Davie Cowie, Judy Schneider, Barb (Bob) Stein, Marty (Trudy) Cowie, Mary (Curt) Maguire, Mark (Tina) Cowie; 23 nieces and nephews; and step-mother Mary Ann Cowie. He was an avid Steelers fan, loving and caring son, brother, and friend, and was a great dad. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to the staff and doctors at the James Cancer Center and Odyssey Hospice who provided care for him. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where a service will follow at 7:30. There will also be calling hours Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the St. Paul Catholic Church, 935 E. State Street, Salem, OH, where funeral mass will follow at 6 p.m. Interment will be Thursday, 10 a.m. Grandview Cemetery, Salem, Ohio.
