SALEM - Michael H. Cross, 63, of 289 Hawley Ave., Salem, died at 9:08 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at the Salem Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 3, 1946 in Leetonia, the son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Greenawalt) Cross.
He attended the Greenford Christian Church and served in the U. S. Navy from 1963 to 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Reedy) Cross, whom he married Nov. 23, 1971; three sons, Brian (Megan) Cross and Michael W. (Renee) Cross both of Salem and David (Teresa) Cross of Lisbon; one daughter, Tina (Dan) Taylor of Salem; four sisters, Deborah (Cross) Greiner of Kenner, Louisiana, Nancy (Art) Tevough of Leetonia, Diane (Mark) Reynolds of Alliance, and Connie Poffenberger of Kenner, Louisiana; three brothers, Jeff (Eva) Cross of Salem, and Randy and Dennis Cross both of Leetonia; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Mark W. Cross.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hugus of the Greenford Christian. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
