SALEM-Margie Ann Lamon, 67, of 109 Blossom Lane, Salem, formerly of West Fourth Street, died at 9:14 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at the Salem Community Hospital.
She was born May 7, 1942 in East Palestine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter and Marjorie (Oliver) Lewis.
Margie had worked as an assembler for 30 years at Midwest Stamping in Bowling Green, Ohio, where she resided for 30 years before moving back to Salem four years ago. She had previously worked as an assembler at Warren Molded before moving to Bowling Green. She was a 1960 graduate of East Palestine High School and played on volleyball and softball leagues in Bowling Green.
Her husband, James A. Lamon, whom she married May 21, 1978, survives her along with a son, Steve (Cheryl) Pocrnich of Waterville, Ohio; a daughter, Sherry (Vince) Brunner of Alliance; stepson, Ian Lamon of North Baltimore, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Kelly (Tim) Stupek of Liberty, Ohio, and Kathleen Ensley of Salem; two sisters, Donna (James) Reidy of East Palestine and Darlene (James) DeLuce of Hanoverton; a brother, Robert (Julie) Lewis of New Waterford; and 11 grandchildren.
Three brothers, William, John and Frank "Butch" Lewis and a sister, Barbara Lee Lewis preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Rowley Jr. officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the services. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
