CNN?show delayed

LISBON - A CNN story about the success of the Columbiana County Community Action Agency's home weatherization assistance program and use of federal stimulus funding won't air until Jan. 29.

CAA Executive Director Carol Bretz had been told the piece would be shown Friday morning on the worldwide news network CNN, but when people tuned in, they couldn't find it. Bretz made contact with a CNN representative and learned the stimulus stories planned for this week had been pushed back due to the Haiti coverage.

The story will instead air next Friday.

The agency was honored earlier this week by Columbia Gas of Ohio for reducing their customers' gas usage by a record 45 percent, giving the Columbiana County program the top ranking in the state for the WarmChoice weatherization program.

A CNN film crew traveled to Columbiana County to interview Bretz at her office and one of the new work crew members at his home. They also visited a work site in Leetonia.
