LISBON - In county Municipal Court on Tuesday, an Alliance man was placed on $50,000 bond on a charge of burglary.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday for Ronald Heestand, 31, who is accused of kicking in the door of a home on state Route 172, West Township, and stealing gold jewelry and other items.

Edward Torres, 28, state Route 518, and Justin Schneider, 18, state Route 518, each pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft and one count each of possession of criminal tools and attempting to commit an offense. Bond was set at $50,000 each; pretrials Feb. 23. Torres and Schneider are accused of stealing a Morning Journal newspaper machine from Twin Oaks Trailer Park, emptying out the money inside, abandoning the machine and attempting to steal another newspaper machine from the Rogers Save-A-Lot.

Jonathan Cosma, 23, Alliance, was sentenced to 20 days in the county jail, was fined $675 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and lane violations; review hearing July 13.

Ronald Middleton Jr., 42, West Pidgeon Road, Salem, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense, obstructing official business and failure to control; pretrial March 23.

Nathan Minerd, 23, Crestview Road, New Waterford, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and lane violations; pretrial April 6.

Michael Board III, 24, Bill Smith Road, Wellsville, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and speeding; pretrial March 29.

Craig Ameduri, 26, Lakewood, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and a tail lights violation; pretrial March 2.

David Aurin, 57, West Pine Lake Road, Salem, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and failure to control; pretrial March 30.

Damien Brown, 29, East Washington Street, pleaded not guilty to assault. Bond was set at $1,000; pretrial March 25. Brown is accused of kicking another man in the head and striking him from behind.

Michael Gubesch, 31, Pleasant Ridge Road, Minerva, was sentenced to seven days of electronically monitored house arrest and three days in the county jail and was fined $225 for driving under suspension.

Richard Faloba, 40, Trinity Church Road, pleaded not guilty to driving under suspension; pretrial April 6.

A charge of driving under suspension against Ricky Yeagley, 34, Bye Road, East Palestine, was dismissed.

John Brown, 19, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, was fined $150 for theft. Brown stole a can of Monster Energy Drink from BK Beverage, Salineville.

Brittney English, 21, state Route 518, pleaded not guilty to complicity; pretrial March 16.

Jeffrey Palich, 53, Coldsnow Road, Minerva, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding.

Kristina Briden, 23, West Fourth Street, Salem, was fined $100 for use of unauthorized plate and failure to control.

Jessica Netzel, 28, state Route 558, Leetonia, was fined $50 for driving without a valid license, amended from driving under suspension, and failure to control.

James Devine, 48, Washington Avenue, Salem, was fined $50 for driving without a valid license.

Three counts of contributing to unruliness of child against Drew Moore, 20, South Main Street, East Palestine, were transferred to county Juvenile Court. Moore is accused of keeping three underage teenagers out past curfew in East Palestine.
