Li Cao and Arthur J. Spack were united in marriage on Feb. 14 at the Hudson Town Hall in Hudson, Ohio. Mayor Robert Curren officiated at the couple's ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dong Jian Ying and Cao Xiao Hong of Xining, China.
The bridegroom is the son of Walburga K. Spack of Salem and the late John F. Spack.
The bride was attired in a red silk, strapless A-line gown accented with a sweetheart neckline, designed by Jim Hiem of New York She carried a trailing bouquet of red roses, pink alstrameria and white wax flowers.
The bride's son, Yun X. Cao, served as ring bearer.
After serving for four years in the Chinese Army, the bride graduated from the Social Science Institute of China and earned a degree in quantitative economics. She then served for 12 years as director of economic and social development for the Governor of Qinhai Province, before starting her own business, The Snow Mountain Travel Agency, in Xining, China.
The bridegroom, the former owner of Spack Insurance Agency of Salem, is now retired.
A private reception was held at the newlywed's home in Hudson.
