Mr. and Mrs. James L. Shingleton of Rogers will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house reception on July 17 at Lake Mount Church of Christ, 6290 state Route 7, New Waterford. The reception is being hosted by their children, with friends and relatives welcome from 1 to 4 p.m.
The former Mary Margaret Smith and Mr. Shingleton were married on July 10, 1960, in a ceremony performed at the Methodist Church in Elkton by the Rev. Brown.
Mr. Shingleton is a 1960 graduate of Beaver Local High School. He is employed at Fairfield Machine in Columbiana.
Mrs. Shingleton is a caregiver.
The Shingleton are members of the Lake Mount Church of Christ where they have attended for 49 years. They have 10 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
