The First Free Methodist Church in East Liverpool was the site of the spring wedding of Wendy Ann Williams and Shawn Golden.
The bride is the daughter of Gary L. and Patricia Williams of Lisbon. His parents are Donald and Ruby Golden of East Liverpool.
Pastor John Smith officiated at the couple's ceremony on May 22 attended by immediate family members and close friends. A reception followed in the fellowship hall of church.
Amy Williams, the bride's sister, was the maid of honor.
A junior bridesmaid was Brooke Lambert, the bride's niece. The flower girl was Courtney Williams, also a niece of the bride.
Performing the duties of best man was John McGaffick. Garrett Williams, the bride's nephew, was an usher. The ring bearer was Jackson Lambert, the bride's nephew.
The bride, a critical care registered nurse at Akron City Hospital, is a 1988 graduate of Beaver Local High School and a 1993 graduate of Youngstown State University. She plans to attend the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree Program at Kent State this fall.
The bridegroom is a professor at KSU where he teaches computer classes and is currently working on his Ph.D. He is a 1989 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a 1994 graduate of YSU. He is a former teacher at East Liverpool High School.
The couple honeymooned in Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, and currently reside at 5731 Loretta Drive, Boardman.
