Barking dog
Police responded to the Jennings and W. 5th St. intersection at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and located three dogs outside a fenced in area. No one was home and police left a red warning tag.

Police responded to the 900 block of W. Pershing St. at 11:17 a.m. Tuesday where the complainant was having a domestic problem with her husband who has no contact order on him and he keeps trying to contact her via the Internet and she wanted it documented.
Domestic
Police responded to the 100 block of W. 4th St. at 10:28 a.m. Monday where two people were in a verbal argument over family matters. Both were advised to stay away from each other.
Theft
Police received a complaint from a resident in the 1700 block of Merle Road at 9:24 p.m. Monday who advised a known male had taken his iPod.
Juvenile
Police responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Ave. at 9:08 p.m. Monday for an unruly juvenile. The father was intoxicated and said his juvenile son wouldn't listen. The juvenile was advised of the options.
Juvenile
Police responded to the 2800 block of E. State St. at 9:59 a.m. Monday where the complainant advised their 10-year-old son made threatening remarks. Police had responded to the couples residence in the 2000 block of Monroe St. at 7:35 p.m. the night before. They were advised of the options.
Speak with officer
Police responded to S. Broadway Ave. and Franklin Ave. at 5:48 p.m. Monday where the complainant advised he took the keys from a driver who was leaning on the back of the vehicle and appeared to have a medical problem. He was checked by medical personnel and taken home by a family member.
Police responded to the 600 block of Olive St. at 8:45 p.m. Monday where the complainant advised her husband was recently arrested for importuning and she is afraid for herself and her handicapped daughter's safety because the Salem News printed the address in the newspaper and she was more afraid because of a comment on the online blog. She was advised to contact the paper about the blog and police would issue an extra watch.
Domestic
Police responded to the 1100 block of Maple St. at 4:23 a.m. Tuesday for a domestic in progress and was advised the son left the house after punching his father in the head. Steven B. McKinney, 1193 Maple St., was located in the 500 block of S. Broadway Ave. and during booking for domestic violence he asked for medical treatment for not feeling well. He was taken to the hospital and then to jail.
Accident
Police responded to the 2300 block of E. State St. at 12:53 p.m. Monday for a two vehicle accident. A vehicle operated by Donna Hart, 42831 state Route 39, Wellsville, was eastbound in front of the Get Go station ahead of the vehicle operated by Olivia Lieder, 1253 E. 3rd St., Salem. Both drivers advised the light was on blinker in all four directions. There were conflicting statements on what occurred causing the crash. Hart advised she was stopped in straffic for the light and struck from behind by Lieder. But Lieder advised she was stopped in traffic for the light and backed into her. No citations were issued and there were no independent witnesses. The right front seat passenger in Hart's vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
