-DAMASCUS -Hallelujah Night is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at Damascus Friends Church, 28857 Walnut St.

This Halloween alternative is geared toward families with children ages 0-12, free of charge.

There will be chili/hot dogs and french fries, bounce houses, face painting, candy, petting zoo and pony rides, weather permitting.

No costumes or disguises are permitted.

-EAST PALESTINE -The First Church of Christ, 20 W. Martin St., will hold a Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in the back parking lot.

Children are encouraged to come with their families in school appropriate costumes and walk through a parking lot full of harvest decorated cars to receive treats and play games. Refreshments will be served.

-ELLSWORTH TOWNSHIP -Trick or Trunk is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Ellsworth Fire Station. Trick or treat in the township follows from 5 to 7 p.m.

-HANOVERTON -Trick or treat will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 30. Children planning to participate are asked to register at Hanoverton Village Hall between 1:30 and 2 p.m.

Residents planning to distribute treats are asked to turn on their porch light .

-SALEM - Trick or treat will be held in the city of Salem from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31.

-SALEM - Trick or treat at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 109 Blossom Lane will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Oct. 30.

-SALEM -Trick or treat will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 at Essex I, 2511 Bentley Drive; and from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at Essex of Salem II and II, 230 and 250 Continental Drive.

-SALEM TOWNSHIP - Trick or treat in Salem Township will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31, and includes Franklin Square.

-SALEM-The Salem First United Methodist Church is holding its first "Trunk or Treat" event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the parking lot at 244 S. Broadway Ave.

Instead of going door-to-door for Halloween treats, children go "trunk-to-trunk" in a fun and friendly environment.

Hot dogs and beverages will be available for purchase.

-WASHINGTONVILLE-The Village of Washingtonville will provide hot dogs and treats at the Village Hall during trick or treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

Anyone wishing to donate candy is asked to drop it off at the Village Hall.
