Lyndsay Kay McShane and Chad Alan Novak were married on Aug. 6 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem. Father Thomas Eiswerth was the celebrant at the couple's double-ring ceremony. The organist was Joe McKim and the soloist was Michael Liptak, the bride's brother-in-law. Heather McShane Liptak joined Mr. Liptak in a special duet dedicated to the couple.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Theresa McShane of Salem. The bridegroom is the son of Stanley A. Novak of Hookstown, Pa., and Wanda C. Grove of Aliquippa, Pa. The bride was attired in an Ann Barge original for Kleinfelds of New York. The strapless princess ball gown of silk organza featured a Basque waist and pleated bodice. Pickups on the dress were adorned with pleated fanned organza centered with pears and crystals. In her hair she wore a Swarovski crystal antique comb and a chapel-length veil. Her flowers were a field bouquet of ivory roses and green hydrangeas. The stems were wrapped in satin ribbon and adorned with a crystal brooch.

The bridal party consisted of Heather McShane Liptak of Brimfield, serving her sister as matron of honor; Casie Colalella of Aliquippa, Pa., the bridegroom's sister; Elaine Robinson of Chicago, and Allyson Cyrus Williams of Aurora. They wore Bill Levkoff designer dresses in tissue taffeta with niching in Celadon green. Their bouquets were similar to the bride's and had crystal brooches on the stems.

Michaela Rose Liptak, niece of the bride, and Makayla Ann Beveridge, niece of the bridegroom, served as flower girls. They wore dresses with a square neckline bodice and pleated taffeta drop waist with ball gown tulle skirt in ivory. They wore fresh floral halos on their heads accented with multiple gathered ribbon streamers in the back.

The duties of best man went to Marty Naughton of Forked River, N.J. Groomsmen were Sheldon Fluharty of Wichita, Kan., Ray Colalella of Aliquippa, Pa., the bridegroom's brother-in-law; and Darrell Hallenbrook of Los Angeles, Calif., the bridegroom's cousin. Logan Patrick Liptak, the bride's nephew, was the ring bearer.

The reception was held at the Links at Firestone that evening. The festivities continued on Saturday with a party hosted by Roger and Susan Self at their Boardman home. The couple honeymooned in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, and currently reside in Marina Del Rey, Calif.
