Ashley Marie Thompson became the bride of Justin Sullivan Shilot on Sept. 25 at Calvary United Presbyterian Church. Pastor Mary Anne Frischkorn officiated at the couple's 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Christine Thompson of Salineville.
The bridegroom's parents are Paul Shilot and Marguerite Shilot, both of Wellsville.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a white satin A-line gown with beaded lace applique and cut-out-lace hem with a chapel train. Her white veil featured pearls, beads and sequin embellishments and was secured by a scroll design comb accented by pearl cluster and Swarovski rhinestone crystals. She carried a bouquet of hot pink gerber daisies, hot pink roses and white alstroemeria.
Amanda Thompson of Boardman, the bride's sister, served as maid of honor in a black, satin, strapless ball gown. In matching gowns were bridesmaids, Kimberly Strabley of Salineville, the bride's cousin; Kelly Carpenter of Salesville; and Dana Unger of Elko, Nev.
Jesse Shilot of Wellsville, the bridegroom's brother, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Jared Shilot of Wellsville, the bridegroom's brother; Bill Watson of Wellsville; and David Redig of Boardman.
Music prior and during the ceremony was provided by M.J. Ludwig and Phylicia Winland. A reading was given by Sarah Crowell, the bride's cousin.
Approximately 280 guests attended the reception which followed at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Casa de Emanuel in East Liverpool.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Southern Local High School and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in communications from Bethany College in 2006. She is employed at Youngstown State University.
The bridegroom, also a 2002 graduate of Southern Local High School, graduated cum laude with a degree in telecommunications from YSU in 2007. He is employed at WKBN-TV.
After a cruise to the Bahamas and a trip Universal Studios in Orlando, the couple resides in Boardman.
