NORTH BENTON - An 81-year-old man has died from injuries suffered in an accident on state Route 14 north of Goshen Road.
Edward Kline, of Cuyahoga Falls, suffered fatal injuries in a three-vehicle accident on a snowy Tuesday night, the Alliance Review reported on its website.
According to the highway patrol, Kline was northbound on Route 14 when he lost control of his vehicle. It went left of center and struck a vehicle driven by Norman Magrell, 73, of Atwater.
An SUV driven by Daniel Peterson, 37, of Akron, was following Kline and his vehicle was struck by the left rear tire that came off Kline's car. Peterson, though, was able to avoid hitting Kline's car by swerving left and into a ditch.
Magrell was taken by a Beloit Fire Department ambulance to Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Kline was pronounced dead early Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth's in Youngstown.
