SALEM - Donald "Bud" K. Maltarich, 72, of 35328 Salmar Drive, Salem, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 25, 2011 at his home.
He was born July 25, 1938 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of the late William and Hazel (Ritter) Maltarich.
Before his retirement, Mr. Maltarich had been employed at McIntosh Steel in Midland, Pa., for 30 years. After retiring, he worked in the maintenance department of Wal-Mart in Salem.
Bud was a member of the Damascus Friends Church and a 1956 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
His wife, Tina (Copper) Maltarich, whom he married June 5, 1995, survives
him along with two sons, Aaron and AJ Maltarich of Salem; a daughter, Robin (Michael) Pusateri of East Liverpool; a son, Donny (Amy) Maltarich of East Liverpool; four sisters, Jean Ferrebee, Dorothy Prescott, Eloise Anthony and Kate Williams, all of East Liverpool; a niece, Carol Salisbury of Carrollton; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, Frank, Lee, Bill and Jack Maltarich, and two sisters, Mary Brenneman and Elizabeth Johnston, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor John Ryser officiating. Calling hours will be held on
Friday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
