WINONA - Dorothy (Votaw) Coffee, 86, of Winona, died at 2:25 a.m. Friday at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1924 in Hanover Township to the late Clarence and Lucille (King) Votaw.
She was a homemaker and member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Boardman. She was a member of the Church Women United, the Parkinson Support Group and started the Alzheimer's Support Group in Salem.
She is preceded in death on July 11, 2004 by her husband, J. Gilmer Coffee, whom she married on Sept. 29, 1944.
She is survived by her children, Gary Coffee of Salem, Tim Coffee of Winona, and Tom and wife Renee Coffee of Gables, Mich.; siblings, Shorty (Clarence) and wife Marty Votaw of Greenford, Leta Fae Wright of Mansfield, Dean and wife Darlene Votaw of Leetonia, Ila and husband Jack Meier of Salem, Audrey and husband Jack Firth of Salem, and Karen and Roger Zeigler of Salem; grandchildren Natalie and husband Steve Lucky, Todd and wife Amanda Wright, Stacy Coffee and Gregary and wife Charleen Coffee; 13 great grandchildren; and her son-in-law Johnny Wright of Kensington.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Wright; siblings, Dwain Votaw, Alfreda Zimmerman, and Ruth Zimmerman; and a grandson, Troy Alan Coffee.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home, the burial will follow in Woodsdale Cemetery. Dorothy's children and family members will be jointly officiating the service.
A time of visitation will be observed from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
It was Dorothy's wish to have memorial contributions to be made to the church, Hospice of the Valley or American Cancer Society.
