July 6, 2014
Associated Press

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police say a man was fatally shot at a club in Columbus and they have arrested a suspect in the shooting.

Columbus police investigators say the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday inside Club Vission. Officers responding to a call about multiple shots fired say they found 35-year-old Lennell Walton with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Police say Walton was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead around 2:30 a.m.

Police say officers at the scene arrested a suspect, who they say will be charged in Walton's death.

Police said they didn't immediately know a motive for the shooting.

They say the death was the 54th homicide in Columbus this year.
