Fight

Police responded to the 900 block of E. 5th St. at 2:55 p.m. Monday for a report of a fight but were unable to locate it and talked to a few individuals who said they heard there was going to be a fight but didn't see anything either. Police were dispatched to the 600 block of E. 3rd St. for an assault victim and the mother wanted to report a male juvenile was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The incident is under investigation.

Speak with officer

Police responded to the 900 block of N. Ellsworth Ave at 4:06 p.m. Monday in reference to suspicious activity in the area. An officer monitored the area but nothing was observed.

Suspicious vehicle

Police responded to the 700 block of W. State St. at 7:30 p.m. regarding a suspicious vehicle or people and were unable to locate anything.

Threats

Police responded to the 400 block of Continental Dr. at 10 p.m. Monday where the complainant advised of receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown person. The complainant advised she is dealing with someone over custody issues and doesn't know if the call has anything to do with that.

Animal complaint

Susan L. Reynolds, 46, 6431 W. Garfield Road, Salem, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. March 29 for failure to confine animals after several reports were filed against her by a complainant who claimed her horses were damaging their property.

Warrant arrest

David P. Rowbotham, 34, Youngstown, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. March 29 on an active warrant out of the department for attempted theft.

FTC

Michael D. Crawford, 27, Calla Road, Beloit, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in Goshen Township at 6:18 p.m. March 30 in which he was northbound on state Route 14 approaching state Route 165 and allegedly lost control of his vehicle on the S-curve, traveling off the the right side of the roadway and striking a tree. He and two passengers, an adult and an infant, were transported by Damascus EMT to the Salem Community Hospital for possible injuries.

Suicide attempt

A U.S. Route 62 woman reported at 2:13 p.m. March 31 that her son had attempted to hang himself and when it failed he went into the woods with an extension cord. Officers located the son and he was transported to the hospital.

Drug possession

Amber L. Delgarbino, 26, Willoughby, Ohio, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop for speed at 3:38 p.m. April 2.

Improper backing

Theresa J. Chittock, 49, Cedarwood Drive, Beloit, was cited for improper backing following a two-vehicle crash in Beloit at 2:57 p.m. Thursday in which she was backing out of the post office parking lot on Main Street and allegedly struck a southbound vehicle driven by Heather Morrison, 19, Derr Avenue, Beloit.

Obstruction of traffic

Alfred T. Fryfogle, 58, Case Road, Beloit, was cited for obstruction of traffic following a two-vehicle crash in Beloit at 2:33 p.m. Saturday in which he was sitting northbound off the side of the roadway on Main Street at Sixth Street and allegedly opened his door, striking a northbound vehicle driven by Jennifer L. Kula, 45, Port Washington, Ohio.

Hit and skip

A man reported on station at 4 p.m. Monday that someone had attempted to pass his vehicle on Main Street in Beloit around 4:30 a.m. that morning while he was making a left turn onto Fifth Street, striking his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
