Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dawson celebrate golden anniversary

Tom and Carol Dawson of East Liverpool celebrated 50 years of marriage at an open house on March 5 at Northside Community Church. The event was hosted by their five sons and daughters-in-law. The Rev. Larry Rose from Northside Community Church officiated the renewing of their vows in front of family and friends.

The couple was married March 4, 1961, in East Liverpool at the Second United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Emanuel officiated. Margie Stefl was the maid of honor and Jerry Woodburn served as best man.

The Dawsons graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1960. They have lived in East Liverpool all their lives, raising their sons, Tom, John, Russ, Andy and Jim.

Mr. and Mrs. Dawson have been active members of the community and Northside Church for many years.

They also have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
