Industrial accident kills Lisbon man

LISBON - A Lisbon man was killed Wednesday while working in Wayne County. According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, Thomas Otto, 48, was part of a crew replacing electric poles in the area. Otto was standing on the ground, touching a bucket truck when the truck's boom made contact with the 7200 volt power lines. Otto was taken to Wooster Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The accident happened at about 8:10 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Geyers Chapel and Smithville Western Road near Wooster.
