West Branch 0

BELOIT - Austintown-Fitch spoiled West Branch's opener 2-0 Wednesday at West Branch High School. Emily Durina and Kimmy Muccio scored for the Lady Falcons.

Sierra Woolf had eight saves in goal for West Branch.

The Lady Warriors are back in action Saturday at Poland.

Poland 4, Salem 0

POLAND - Salem was dropped 4-0 by Poland Wednesday in girls soccer action. Kaitlyn Kelm had 22 saves in goal for the Lady Quakers.

The jayvee squad also fell 3-0.

Salem (1-1) plays Wednesday hosting Lousiville in its NBC conference opener. The Salem jayvee girls play Monday at Girard.

Golf

Crestview 186,

Mineral Ridge 188

COLUMBIANA - Crestview defeated Mineral Ridge 186-188 Wednesday in golf action. Leading the Rebels was Robert Logan with a 41. Matt May shot 42, Evan Beachler 51 and Wyatt Nolker 52.

Josh Durig led Ridge with a 38.

Crestview improves to 8-1, 5-0 in Tier 1 of the Inter-Tri County League.

United 170, East Palestine 182

EAST PALESTINE - United defeated East Palestine 170-182 in golf action Wednesday at East Palestine Country Club.

Leading United was medalist Bradley Miller with a 38. Alan Richards shot 42, J.T. May 44 and Kasen Smith 46.

East Palestine was led by Phil Gerner with a 44. Kevin Weigle, Drew Wilson and Ryan Kemp all posted 46s.

United (2-3) plays at Lisbon Thursday.

East Palestine (2-5) hosts Columbiana on Thursday.

Springfield 184, Lisbon 203

NEW MIDDLETOWN - Springfield dropped Lisbon in golf action Wednesday 184-203. Leading the Tigers was Mark Noel with a 42.

For Lisbon, Zack Rovnak shot 45, Tyler Chestnut 46, Jordan Rutecki 53 and Lucas Tolsen 58. Lisbon (0-6) hosts United today.

HANOVERTON - Lordstown blanked United 5-0 in tennis action Wednesday.
