Wayne and Patti Johnson of Columbiana are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kara Johnson, to Dominic Sabatino. He is the son of Scott and Carla Sabatino of Hanoverton.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Columbiana High School and earned a bachelor's degree of science in food and nutrition from Youngstown State University. She is employed as a registered dietitian and personal trainer at Fitness Together in Canfield.
Her fiance, a 2003 graduate of United Local High School, also attended Kent State University. He is currently employed as a construction worker at Jonathan Sabatino Construction in Millport.

The couple is planning a wedding ceremony on Oct. 22 at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Hanoverton.
A reception will follow at The Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana.
