- A Cunningham Road, Salem, woman reported at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday her ex-boyfriend stole her pit bull puppy. Deputies warned the ex-boyfriend to return the dog or face theft charges.

- James Deatley, state Route 45, Salem, reported a burglary attempt at Lincoln Storage at 9:28 a.m. Tuesday. It appeared to deputies someone had attempted to pry open the locks of five units, but were unsuccessful. Deputies recommended the renters of the five units be contacted so they could make sure nothing was missing.

- A 13-year-old from Carroll County reportedly broke off a toilet fixture while housed at the Tobin Center at about 4 p.m. Sunday.

- A U.S. Route 30, Minerva, woman reported at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday she has been receiving harassing text messages since Aug. 29 on both her phone and her boyfriend's phone.

- Karen Anessi, Middle Beaver Road, Lisbon, reported an assault at the Lock 30 Campground at 12:15 a.m. Monday. Deputies found one man, clearly intoxicated and with a large cut below his eye. He was taken to East Liverpool City Hospital by ambulance for treatment. He claimed his boss had insisted he and his girlfriend go camping by threatening to kick them out of their home if they did not. When he confronted his boss about a work-related issue, the boss reportedly hit him in the face with a "pie iron." Deputies spoke to the accused man and his girlfriend, along with the injured man's girlfriend. They all told deputies the injured man becomes problematic when he drinks, became verbally and physically violent and was struck with the sandwich maker by the one woman after he grabbed her. The matter will go to the prosecutor's office for review.

- Toney Brock, Main Street, Washingtonville, reported at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday he is staying with an old friend, who came into his room and began making sexual advances on him. Brock told deputies he barricaded himself in his room, but his friend came in anyway and the two began to fight. He bit the friend in self-defense. Deputies spoke to other man, who said Brock has mental problems and he has been trying to help him out. He had two bleeding injuries to his right arm from being bitten. He denied making sexual advances, but said Brock came home high and when he confronted him that is when he became irate. Brock was charged with domestic violence.

- A Teegarden Road woman reported at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday she wanted someone to be removed. When police arrived they found a white man approaching them with his hands up, speaking nonsense and delusional. The man, who is from Salem, had stayed next door, but the woman there said he had gone a couple days without sleeping. He allegedly threatened to kill himself. He was transported to the Salem Community Hospital.

- The mother of a 4-year-old girl reported at 9:53 p.m. Monday her daughter was inappropriately touched while at her father's house over the weekend. The matter is under investigation.

- A Taylor Avenue, Rogers, woman reported at 5:40 p.m. Monday a black vehicle being driven on that road had someone inside shooting a paintball gun. Her husband found someone had shot the neighbor's mailbox along with stop signs at Taylor and Scott Mill roads.

- A Churchill Road, Lisbon, woman reported at 7:21 p.m. Monday she believed someone was planning to take scrap from her property. Deputies spoke to the other person, who said he was not planning to take anything.

- A Rose Drive, Lisbon, man reported a possible domestic problem at a neighboring apartment at 8:09 p.m. Monday. Deputies spoke to the two people who said they had a disagreement, but there was no longer a problem.

- Suspicious activity was reported by a U.S. Route 62, Salem, man at the construction area at Meadow Wood in Butler Township at 8:11 p.m. Monday. Deputies checked the area, but did not locate anyone.
