LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Gayle Frankford, 44, of Leetonia, was fined $905 and sentenced to 10 days in the county jail for OVI and failure to control. Her license was also suspended for one year.

In the case of Deborah Copley, 44, Beard Road, East Palestine, criminal trespassing charges were dropped after she was found mentally incompetent to stand trial. Copley was accused of hanging around the parking lot at the Vittle Village in Unity Township and harassing customers after being told not to.

Daniel Turkson, 31, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, pleaded innocent to OVI, no license and failure to control, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for Oct. 4. Turkson was cited while driving in Hanover Township at 7:55 p.m. Sept. 3.

Sonja Ellis, 53, East Third Street, Salem, was found guilty of theft and will be sentenced on Oct. 18. Ellis was accused of shoplifting a phone charger from a Salem store on Aug. 30.

Gregory Henry, 44, state Route 165, East Palestine, pleaded innocent to OVI, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 18. Henry was cited while driving in East Palestine at 2:06 a.m. Sept. 3.

Tiffany Walls, 30, East Washington Street, Lisbon, was found guilty of theft and receiving stolen property and fined $200. She was also sentenced to 10 days in the county jail, in addition to the eight she has already served. Walls reportedly stole cigarettes and money from a motor vehicle belonging to Ethan Hood of Lisbon and possessing a GPS device stolen from Roger Blosser's vehicle in Lisbon.

Jody McVay, 49, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was fined $100 and his license suspended for six months after found guilty of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. McVay was charged after a sheriff's deputy serving a warrant on McVay found two marijuana plants growing on his front porch.

Joseph Beatty, 23, Old Lincoln Highway, East Liverpool, pleaded innocent to OVI and failure to control, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 4. Beatty was cited while driving in Middleton Township at 6:10 a.m. Sept. 5.
