Columbiana
- Police received a hang up 911 call from a home on Bittersweet Drive at 9:58 p.m. Thursday. Police checked at the home, but there were no problems there.
- Someone was reported parked illegally in front of a home on South Vine Street at 10:17 a.m. Thursday. A parking citation was issued.
- Heartland Christian School reported a semi with a trailer parked on Pittsburgh Street at 1:52 p.m. Thursday. The semi was parked where the school parks its buses. Police spoke with the concession people and the problem was resolved.
- A woman was reported sitting in a gold pickup for 45 minutes on Seventh Street at 2:50 p.m. Thursday. Police checked. There was no problem.
- The owner of property at 18 S. Main St. reported at 7:45 p.m. Thursday cars were blocking his driveway and he could not get out. Police found the owner finally did get out, but one resident there was still blocked in. The owner told police a driver ran over the "No Parking" sign and when he was told he could not park there told the owner, "I'll park wherever I want." Because the property was private, police told him they could have the vehicle towed.
Lisbon
- An East Washington Street woman reported at 4:50 a.m. Friday another woman came to her home and threatened to harm her. Walls called again at 5:07 a.m. Friday to report the woman had come back. Police went to the home and did not find the woman, but they went and spoke to her about not calling or going to rhe home again.
- A Moore Street man reported at 1:35 p.m. Thursday they needed an ambulance for his neighbor and they could not get her to answer the door or phone. Police opened the door, which was unlocked, and found her lying on the couch and unresponsive at first. The woman has reportedly been sick for four weeks and her medication is making her sleepy.
- An employee at Valley View reported at 10:27 p.m. Thursday a man came in and requested an ambulance. She did not know what his problem was. Police arrived in the area, but could not find him. The employee called again at 11:04 p.m. when the man returned. He told police he did not need an ambulance. He was told to go home.
LEETONIA
- An officer responded to the 200 block of Main Street at 4:12 p.m. Sept. 2 for a report of a man yelling.
- An officer responded to a juvenile complaint in the 400 block of Somer Street at 5:23 p.m. Sept. 2.
- An officer responded to a report of a verbal altercation on Main Street at 6:24 p.m. Sept. 2.
- An officer responded to a Main Street home at 7:56 p.m. Sept.2 for a complaint of a juvenile who refused to return home.
- An officer responded to a Front Street home at 9:47 p.m. Sept. 3 in reference to a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter.
- A Front Street business reported receiving five counterfeit $20 bills at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday.
- An officer investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of Columbia Street at 9:24 p.m. Thursday.
PERRY TOWNSHIP
- Ryan D. Armstrong, 26, 13338 Beaver Creek Road, Salem, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct after police responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 4:41 a.m. Sunday in reference to someone knocking on windows and doors and found him intoxicated and allegedly creating a disturbance.
- An officer responded to an Indiana Boulevard home at 11:06 a.m. Sunday where the resident reported the lawn mowing company at his neighbor's home had been blowing the mown grass onto his driveway. The workers agreed to blow the grass back into the yard.
- An officer responded to a Prospect Street apartment at 4:42 p.m. Sunday in reference to an unruly juvenile.
- Randolph Bauman, 34, 192 S. Lincoln Ave. Apt. A, Salem, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 9:50 p.m. Sunday.
- Officers responded to a Benton Road home at 12:54 a.m. Monday for a report of criminal damaging and underage consumption. Upon arrival the officers observed two men flee the scene. Matthew T. Taylor, 20, 794 Benton Road, Salem, was arrested for underage consumption and resisting arrest; and Dillon T. Rhodes, 19, 587 Florida Ave., Salem, was arrested for underage consumption.
- Larry D. Hooper, 60, 1216 N. Union Ave., Salem, was arrested for domestic violence after officers responded to his home for a domestic dispute report at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday.
- Police responded to a theft report at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday.
- Ronald C. Bailey Jr., 38, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash at 6:16 p.m. Wednesday in which he was eastbound on state Route 45 and allegedly failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Dan D. Chaffee, 42, Salem.
- Florence G. Howard, 81, Salem, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash at 10:11 p.m. Wednesday in which she was northbound on state Route 45 and allegedly lost control of her vehicle, traveling of the roadway and striking a telephone pole.
SALEM
- A Woodland Avenue man reported on station at 5:55 p.m. Thursday that his ex-wife had threatened him during a custody exchange of their daughter.
- A Brooklyn Avenue woman reported at 7:29 p.m. Thursday that she and several other people with whom she works had been receiving unwanted telephone calls from an unknown male subject while at work.
- Officers responded to a Morris Avenue home at 10:08 p.m. Thursday where Charles R. Courtney reported his juvenile girlfriend had assaulted him before leaving with a family member. Courtney was arrested at 9:31 a.m. the next morning on a warrant out of the department for receiving stolen property.
- Police responded to a West Third Street home at 3:46 a.m. Friday for a report of loud music. The subjects turned off the music and went inside.
GOSHEN POLICE DISTRICT
- Karrie S. Taylor, 54, 7034 state Route 165, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in Green Township at 4:48 p.m. Aug. 31 in which she was northbound on Lisbon Road and allegedly failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Erika K. Toy, 29, 3300 W. Middletown Road, Columbiana, who was stopped at state Route 165.
- Gregory L. Schwartzhoff, 57, 166 E. Michigan Ave., Sebring, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in Green Township at 10:23 p.m. Aug. 31 in which he was eastbound on state Route 165 and allegedly failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Tessa D. Glista, 25, 1282 Beechwood Road, Salem, who was stopped at state Route 45.
- Larin B. Swanson, 21, 9135 Richey School Road, Hanoverton, was cited for traveling left of center following a two-vehicle crash on state Route 165 in Green Township at 4:20 p.m. Sept. 2. According to the report, Swanson was eastbound on state Route 165 and attempted to pass on the left a vehicle driven by Georgia I. Garten, 63, 664 E. Fourth St., Salem, who was attempting to turn left, allegedly striking her vehicle and traveling off the south side of the roadway.
- Helene K. Zlotnick, 80, Youngstown, was cited for right of way at stop signs following a two-vehicle crash in Green Township at 12:41 p.m. Sunday in which she was stopped westbound on Calla Road at state Route 46 and allegedly pulled into the intersection, striking a northbound vehicle driven by Derek A. Seibert, 31, 199 Chestnut St., Leetonia.
- Danielle Lee Lanzendorfer, 19, 540 Union St., Washingtonville, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in Green Township at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in which she was eastbound on state Route 14 approaching Egypt Road and allegedly failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Gretchen K. Wilms, 23, 469 Euclid St., Salem, who was attempting to turn.
