Meghan Elizabeth Witmer weds John Daniel Houck

Meghan Elizabeth Witmer became the bride of John Daniel Houck on July 23 at St. Jude Church in Columbiana.

The bride is the daughter of Rich and Margie Witmer. The bridegroom is the son of Ted and Kelly Houck. The Rev. Paul Tobin officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The bride, escorted and given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless, sweetheart cut ivory gown encrusted with crystals and pearls. A tiara of rhinestones secured her waist-length veil that was accented with crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of hot pink calla lilies and stephanotis.

Nicole Witmer of Wooster served her sister-in-law as matron of honor in a latte gown.

In matching gowns were bridesmaids, Jenn Witmer of Lisbon, the bride's sister-in-law; Lauren Houck and Katelyn Houck of Columbiana, the bridegroom's sisters.

The flower girl was Sophie Davis, the bride's cousin.

Scott Houck of Columbiana, the bridegroom's brother, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Mike Witmer of Lisbon and Rich Witmer of Wooster, brothers of the bride; and Doug Shaffer of Columbiana.

Ring bearers were Brendan Butler, the bridegroom's cousin; Ethan Davis, the bride's cousin and Godson; and Cyrus Witmer, the bride's nephew and Godson.

Approximately 300 guests attended the reception at The Lake Club in Poland.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Youngstown State University and employed as a teacher at Joshua Dixon Elementary in Columbiana.

The bridegroom is employed by the City of Columbiana.

After a honeymoon trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Lisbon.
