Samantha Jean Gano becomes bride of Marshall Patrick Bahr

Samantha Jean Gano of Salem and Marshall Patrick Bahr of Omaha, Neb., were married on Oct. 23 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pa. Pastor Peter Fowler of Salem officiated at the couple's 4:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of David and Kathryn Gano of Salem.

The bridegroom's parents are Micheal and Debra Bahr of Omaha, Neb.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride appeared in a tailored, ivory strapless gown by Italian designer Peter Langner. She carried a bouquet of yellow sunflowers and assorted roses.

Attired in black floor-length gowns were Anne Gano of Salem, maid of honor, sister of the bride; and the bridesmaids, Alicia Roberts of Chicago, Ill., sister of the bride, Greta Sullivan of New York, N.Y., Lauren Ross of Atlanta, Ga., and Katherine Winn of Salem; Kristina Caples of Canton, Keri Geiger of Alliance and Rebecca Wallace of Palm Beach Fla., cousins of the bride.

The bride's cousin, Camden Hergenrother of Salem, was flower girl.

Readings were by cousins Marta Hergenrother of Salem and Kathryn Miller of Columbus.

Serving as best man was Christopher Bahr of Omaha Neb., brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Jacob Gano of Salem, brother of bride; Jeffrey Zimmerman of Salem; Benjamin Ray of Morgantown, W.Va.; Jordan Smith of Savannah, Ga.; James Ross of Atlanta.; and Ryan Anzalone of Omaha.

Yano Anzalone of Omaha, Neb., was the ringbearer.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Salem High School. She received a bachelor's of fine arts degree in interior design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Currently, she works for Columbus based retail design firm, WD Partners.

The bridegroom is a former Special Operations combat medic. He served six years with the 175 Ranger Regiment in Savannah, Ga. He earned a bachelor's of science degree from The Ohio State University and is currently studying to become a physician at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

An evening reception of 200 guests followed.

The couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic and now reside in Omaha, Neb.
