SEBRING- An open house is planned to celebrate the 95th birthday of Lorena Phillips, who was born on Nov. 6, 1916. Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Williamsburg Lounge at Copeland Oaks in Sebring.
Mrs. Phillips was married to the late Dwight L. "Bud" Phillips for 55 years. Together they enjoyed traveling both at home and abroad. Mrs. Phillips was secretary for New Leader Sales and Service, a business owned by Mr. Phillips. She was a teacher of Children's Church for many years. She is a member of the Damascus Friends Church, Damascus Magazine Club, and Fidelis Sunday School Class. She enjoys reading, baking, and gardening. Currently she is caretaker of the Copeland Oaks resident greenhouse. She has nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The festivities will be hosted by her three children. Donna (Walt) Lautzenheizer, Bill (Liz) Phillips, Roger (Becki) Phillips.
