Ruth Slattery celebrated her 100th birthday on Oct. 14 with a celebration held Oct. 15 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana, where she currently resides. Family from North Carolina, Tennessee and the Youngstown area came to join the festivities and celebrate Ruth's milestone birthday. A total of 60 guests and five generations of Ruth's family were in attendance. Entertainer Billy Keller provided music throughout the party and cake was served. Residents and staff at St. Mary's also joined in the party.
