Rebels likely to play host next week

Crestview 45, Lisbon 7

LISBON - Crestview will likely be hosting a playoff game next Friday after dropping Lisbon 45-7. Nick Blower had 153 yards on 11 carries and two touchdown runs for the Rebels. Adam Coppock went 4-of-9 for 51 yards including a touchdown pass to Collin Gilbert. Coppock added an 11-yard touchdown run and finished the year with more than 1,000 yards passing. Gilbert caught four passes for 51 yards.

The win also marked head coach Paul Cusick's 100th victory at the school.

For Lisbon, Zac Barnes had 73 yards on 18 carries and the team's lone score on a 21-yard touchdown run.

Crestview finishes the regular season 9-1, and are sole champions of Tier 1 of the Inter-Tri County League with a 6-1 record. They will await word on their opponent over the weekend.

Lisbon finishes the year 1-9, 0-7 ITCL Tier 1.

Springfield 41, United 6

HANOVERTON - Springfield's Nick Russell was 14-of-23 for 278 yards and threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score in the Tigers' 41-6 win over United. The Tigers will compete in Division V playoff action next Saturday and could play the role of hosts.

Joey Ohlin caught six passes for 123 yards and two scores.

For United, Garrett Beech scored on a 2-yard run. Beech had 45 yards on 17 carries and threw for 102 yards.

Springfield (8-2, 5-2 ITCL Tier 1) will wait to see when and where they play next Saturday.

United closes the year at 3-7, 3-4 ITCL Tier 1.

Leetonia 20, Lowellville

LEETONIA - The Leetonia Bears finished off the season with a 20-0 victory over Lowellville Friday. For the Bears, Cody Stokes was 6-of-12 for 61 yards and threw two touchdown passes, the first a 4-yard strike to Alex Maltbie, the second a 10-yard completion to Zack Van Giessen.

Van Giessen also ran for 53 yards on 12 carries and had a 9-yard touchdown run.

Leetonia finishes the year 4-6, 2-5 ITCL Tier 2.

Lowellville ends the year 1-9, 1-7 ITCL Tier 2.

Western Reserve 35, McDonald 7

MCDONALD - With little fanfare, Western Reserve ended a 23-game, 21-year losing streak beating McDonald 35-7 Friday to finish the year undefeated.

Western Reserve will host a playoff game next Saturday night against an opponent to be determined.
