LISBON - Perry Township voters will see a 1.5 mill police replacement levy on the ballot in March.
The levy was filed at the Columbiana County Board of Elections on Monday.
As a replacement levy, it is designed to bring in additional funds above what is being generated by the current police levy. The $36,000 the levy currently generates is from 1982 values.
Three other bond issues have been recently filed with the Columbiana County Board of Elections.
- The City of East Liverepool filed an additional 5-mill bond issue.
- The Beaver Local School District filed a 5.223-mill bond issue to bring in $21,500,000 over 28 years for a Ohio Schools Facility Commission building project. The levy would net $1,212,000 per year.
-Beaver Local School District also filed a .5-mill maintenance levy. Designed to cover the cost of operating the building, the levy would bring in $116,600 per year for 23 years.
