Wellsville 53, Leetonia 31

LEETONIA - Leetonia hung with Wellsville for the first half Thursday night but a strong third quarter kept them at bay as the Lady Tigers won 53-31.

Leading Wellsville was Mikyla Tipton with 17 points. Brittany Clendenning added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

For Leetonia, Alexa Summers had seven points and five rebounds. Kinzie Smith added seven points and five steals. Haley Scoville finished with eight rebounds.

Wellsville also won the jayvee contest 29-23. Leading Leetonia was Emily Schneier with 12 points.

Leetonia (0-6, 0-3 ITCL Tier 2) plays a varsity only contest Monday at home against McDonald.

MCDONALD - McDonald dropped Sebring in ITCL Tier 2 girls basketball action Thursday 67-46. Leading the Lady Blue Devils was Taylor Stanley with 20 points.

For Sebring, Kelsi Settle nearly had a triple-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals. Siara Dalton added eight points.

Sebring (1-5) will play Monday at Western Reserve.

COLUMBIANA - Khylea Fullum had a game-high 29 points to help lead the Lady Clippers past East Palestine 52-35. Columbiana actually trailed 20-17 at the half.

For East Palestine, Brooke Gideon and Katie Bell had 10 points each.

Columbiana won the jayvee game 28-19. Emily Whitmer had 11 points.

Columbiana (2-4, 1-2 ITCL Tier 1) will play Monday at Mineral Ridge.

BERLIN CENTER - Western Reserve outlasted Southern 64-45 Thursday. Leading the Lady Blue Devils was Sissy Stubbs with 17 points and eight rebounds. Colleen Kennehan added 16 points and eight assists, and Hannah Mowery had 10 points and four assists. April Lude tallied nine rebounds.

Southern was led by Rachel Coil with 12 points. Jennah Phillis added 10 points.

Western Reserve (4-1) hosts Sebring Monday to mark the opening game in the school's new gym.

LISBON - Lisbon outlasted South Range 50-49 in double overtime Thursday. Leading the Blue Devils was Pam Pierce with a game-high 28 points and 14 rebounds. Lindsey Hayko added 13 points.

For South Range, Lexi Naples had 15 points, while Kelsey Maynard added 13 and Stevie Taylor added 12.

Range won the jayvee game 33-17. Kelsey Phillips had eight points.

Lisbon hosts East Palestine Monday. South Range hosts United.
