SALEM - The Elite Auto Sportz store at 890 W. State St., an affiliate of East Coast Auto Detailing, sells auto and truck accessories including audio and video (DVD installations, custom wheels, tires, trailer hitches, fifth wheels, tinted windows, heated seats, LED lights, strobes, rearview cameras, backup sensors, remote starters and just about anything in the auto aftermarket, according to owner Shawn Luketic.

"If they want it, we can get it ... mostly within a day," he said.

The business also installs what it sells.

"Everything we carry, we install," he said, adding that include Sirius XM radio, power window kits, overhead DVDs sets and DVD head rests.

The building has a lineage in the auto market and started out as Salem Auto Sales years ago.

Luketic, 37, has more than 23 years of experience in the automobile aftermarket business including 16 years with East Coast Auto Detailing at 106 Benton Road.

The store also does upholstery work including complete seat covers, stitching and piping.

There are four full- and part-time employees including Trey Gill, a Pittsburgh-area master installer who has installed accessories on vehicles owned by Pittsburgh sports (football and hockey) stars, musicians, boxing stars and celebrities.

"Trey does all the wiring, remote starters, audio-video and heated seats ... anything," Luketic said.

The store features top-line tires like Nitto, Falken, Pro Comp and Mickey Thompson Tires along with most popular custom wheels like BMF, KMC American Racing, Moto-Metal, Lorenzo and Delta Wheels.

"We do a lot of Jeep aftermarket stuff," he said, adding they make and install custom consoles, between the seats and overhead, along with custom audio enclosures.

The company makes an effort to keep its purchases to American made products, but Luketic said that's hard to do with most of the audio and video components.

Luketic said, "We have a full-service detailing department" noting Elite Auto Sportz will detail vehicles starting with a basic hand wash to a complete detailing job including wash, wax and interior steaming.

Complete detailing, beginning at about $100, also has a free valet service but walk-ins are OK, he said.

Prices vary depending on the vehicle, Luketic said, adding, "we always accept new clients."

For winter, Elite offers a $10 exterior only car wash special in the battle against road salt.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday by appointment.

Elite Auto Sportz accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and all debit cards.
