Saxon Club social canceled
SALEM-The January joint social on Friday at the Salem Saxon Club has been canceled.
The monthly breakfast buffet will be held on Jan. 21. The breakfast is open to the public and offers sausage, waffles, bacon, sausage gravy, homefries, eggs, fruit, assorted pastries, biscuits, pancakes, juice and coffee. Cost is $6 and free for children under 5.
Beginning Feb. 24, the club will serve its annual fish fries which are held during the six weeks of Lent.
New Waterford 1957 breakfast
NEW WATERFORD-The New Waterford High School Class of 1957 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the New Waterford United Methodist Church.
Salem 1958 breakfast set
SALEM-The Salem High School Class of 1958 plans to meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club. The class plans to sponsor the ROC teen group.
Pancakes Plus Breakfast
NEW WATERFORD-The Pancakes Plus Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St. Donations will be accepted.
Salem Library trustees to meet
SALEM-The Salem Public Library board of trustees will hold its annual organizational meeting at 4 p.m. Monday at the library. The regular meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. The Public Records Commission meeting follows at 5 p.m.
Banquet in Salem features roast beef
SALEM-The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. The sponsor is St. Paul Catholic Church's Eighth Grade Confirmation Class. The menu offers homemade wedding soup, roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, fresh vegetables, fruit, and assorted cakes and cookies.
Goshen 1941 breakfast planned
SALEM-The Goshen High School Class of 1941 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.
EP Winter Mini Cheer Camp
EAST PALESTINE-The annual East Palestine Winter Mini Cheer Camp, sponsored by the East Palestine High School cheerleaders, will be held Jan. 18-20. Practices are scheduled from 3:45 to 5 p.m. Jan. 18 and 19 in the East Palestine Elementary School gym. The final performance is Jan. 20 at the varsity basketball team's half time show in the high school gym. The camp is open to all children from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade in any school district. Breakfast at Salem Masons
SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Salem Masonic Building, 788 E. State St.
Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2. The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea. The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.
Salem Parade Marshal nominations
SALEM-The Salem Memorial and Patriotic Association is currently accepting nominations for Honorary Parade Marshal for Memorial Day 2012. Nominations are open to Salem area veterans. Written submissions with military and veteran's services listed can be dropped off or mailed to the association in care of AMVETS Post 45, 750 S. Broadway Ave. Nominations will be accepted until March 1. The Salem Memorial and Patriotic Association will make the final decision at a regular meeting.
LISBON-The Columbiana County Community Action Agency on behalf of the Columbiana County Board of Commissioners is accepting application from contractors wishing to participate under the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) rehabilitation and home repair programs.
Contractors may attend an informational meeting at 5 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Community Action Agency administration building at 7880 Lincole Place, Lisbon. Applications will be available that evening.
