Poland 41, Salem 24

POLAND - Poland jumped out to a 20-11 halftime lead and kept the Salem Lady Quakers at bay 41-24 Tuesday in Poland.

Leading the Lady Quakers was Katherine Stiff with a team-high 12 points all by way of the 3-pointer. Megan Lehwald added six.

For Poland, Abbie Frank had a game-high 15 points.

Salem (3-9) hopes to get back on track Saturday at Canton South.

BERLIN CENTER - Western Reserve got behind 12-2 after one quarter and again couldn't quite recover in a 41-36 loss to McDonald. The Blue Devils of Berlin Center bounced back with 21 points in the second but had just three in the third.

Stephan Politono led McDonald with 17 points.

Leading the way for Reserve was Dalton Korda with 11 points and six rebounds. Jeff Clegg added eight points, and Tom Benyo had six points and eight rebounds.

Western Reserve (6-5, 3-4 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Leetonia Friday.

McDonald (4-5, 3-3 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Lowellville.

LOWELLVILLE - Crestview outlasted Lowellville 55-39 Tuesday.

Leading the Rebels was C.J. Collins with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Nate Climo added 11 points. Tom Oliver had nine points and two steals, and Adam Coppock had nine points and nine assists.

Crestview (8-4, 4-3 ITCL Tier 1) plays Friday at Columbiana.

Lowellville (7-5, 5-2 ITCL Tier 2) travels to McDonald.
